Spring Samba Course Update!

You have been asking, and you shall receive! The first samba choreography series of 2021 will begin in February! This class will be hybrid, meaning, there will be a very limited number of in – person spots available and unlimited online spots available! Class will be simultaneously taught through Zoom while also in person! Here are all of the deets:
When? Classes will run Monday evenings, February – April (Easter Monday Off) at 8:15pm EST, for a total of 12 classes. Classes are 1 hour in length and no special equipment or shoes are needed – in fact, barefoot, socks, toe paws, or a soft sneaker are recommended. Classes will include a warm up, technique training, drills, and a progressive sequence. Musicality, instruments, and history is weaved into each class to get a true feel and understanding for this beautiful dance. As a proud director for the NC Brazilian Arts Project, you can learn more about our mission and vision here.
For those looking to take in- person classes, they will be held at Millpond Dance Studio, 3490 Kildaire Farm Rd #186, Cary, NC 27518. Class rotations may be included, due to capacity restrictions.Â
The cost for the course is $120.00 and includes in person and virtual instruction, plus ongoing feedback and weekly assignments throughout the course. Sorry, because this course is progressive, there will not be an option for drop in classes.Â
Performance opportunities will be available (when circumstances allow) to those individuals meeting requirements at that time. Those who have not trained directly with me before must send an audition video before registering, as this is not a beginner level class.Â
Participants must pay ahead, as we will not take payments at the door. Sorry, no refunds. Classes will also be recorded on Zoom and available via share link for 7 days following class. Those looking to perform will be responsible for additional costume and shoe expenses.Â
